Software Engineer (Frontend)

As we continue our SaaS journey, we are seeking an experienced frontend Software Engineer to join our Technology Solutions team based at Eight Mile Plains (flexible working available). You will be an enthusiastic developer with an eye for detail and a desire to contribute not just code, but opinions, suggestions and innovations from initial designs through the full SDLC towards building a globally reaching first-class SaaS product. You should be experienced and confident in writing great user interfaces in Angular and be comfortable contributing independently or paired up with other teammates.

As Software Engineer, you will:

• Implementing angular components, UI and workflows as part of a large business application using designs and user stories for guidance
• Have experience with responsive design approaches
• Work in sprints as part of a close, friendly, highly-collaborative team
• Have an appreciation for cloud-native aspects of software development – performance, security, deployment etc
• Be passionate about writing maintainable code that will be critical in the daily running of Veterinary Practices in multiple countries
• Be conscious and have experience with testing strategies
• Support our product team with the art of the possible through the design process
• Peer reviewing code changes from the team and assisting with implementing best practice patterns.
• Collaborating closely with backend developers, Ux designers, QA, Dev Ops, Business Analyst and Product Owner to complete user stories.
• Contributing and sharing ideas of continual improvement with the team.
• Using Azure technologies and functions where required, including pipelines and releases.
• Opportunities to contribute to backend .NET code and develop full stack skills
• Present work to stakeholders at sprint reviews and code review sessions.
  
  

About You

To be successful you will have;

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology combined with demonstrated 2-5 years expertise in JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript.
• Great knowledge of CSS, SASS, and/or Tailwind.
• Good knowledge of Angular testing, front end web testing with Playwright.
• Demonstrated experience with web application security and understanding of Azure or alternative cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle, including reviewing the Design Story Writing and QA stages.
• Confidence in suggesting and making changes, seeking out opportunities for collaboration and iterating on code based on feedback.
• Demonstrated experience in an AGILE working environment ideally within the IT-enabled healthcare or animal health industry (though not essential).
