We are hiring for a Senior Network Engineer - EL1 Level & Senior Network Administrator - APS6 Level for one of our Federal Clients.

Location of work: Canberra (Onsite)
Contract duration: 12 months + 24 months extension.
Security clearance: PV security clearance (are only eligible)

Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
The Network Engineer (NTDS 5) will under broad direction from the Commonwealth will be responsible for a range of activities contributing to the design, build, test and operation of ICT systems and network services to support the delivery of modern mobility solutions for senior government officials. Project activities under the project include expanding the existing network, computing systems, complex gateway services, cloud services, and secure mobility solutions.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, test and operation of networks services in a multi-vendor environment.
- Conduct requirement traceability and prioritisation activities, and determine the feasibility of individual requirements in order to support the design of elements of the system.
- Plan the configuration, implementation, automation and testing of an enterprise gateway environment, adhering to security policy and compliance.
- Provide assistance in the development, support and management of monitoring systems for networks.
- Implement, configure, and maintain (including leading change activities), of switches, routers and firewalls in a multi-vendor environment.
Technical skills
Experience in the operation and management of a gateway environment. Experience automating networks through Infrastructure as Code.
Network Administrator Key duties and responsibilities
Network Administrators implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
The Network Administrator under broad direction from the Commonwealth will be responsible for a range of activities contributing to the design, build, test and operation of ICT systems and network services to support the delivery of modern mobility solutions for senior government officials. Project activities under the project include expanding the existing network infrastructure, and complex gateway services, to support secure mobility solutions.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Carry out consolidation of legacy networks onto the current ASD baseline network architecture through the provision of configuration, implementation, documentation and post-installation activities.
- Undertake network installations in accordance with detailed design documentation and guidance.
- Operate and troubleshoot network hardware, including switches, routers, Firewalls, gateways and wireless equipment (Palo-Alto technologies, SILICONROAD).
- Handle TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP network topology tasks.
- Monitor enterprise proxy and load balancing systems and experience with different systems and architecture.
- Utilise Automation tools such as Ansible , Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator to sustain network,
- Provide second level support incident Response to the ASD Deployed Top Secret Network environment in support of the Defence Intelligence Agencies and other customers.
