What’s the role?

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Project Manager – Data Streams to join the Technology Transformation. Westpac is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Senior Project Manager to support a high-profile, time-critical program focused on enhancing testing environments, integrating multiple application layers within a complex technology landscape, and provisioning fit-for-purpose test data.

This senior leadership role demands strong governance and delivery execution capabilities, along with a high level of technical acumen. The position involves close collaboration with both internal and external teams to drive program success.

The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Delivery Lead, acting as their key support in co-driving the transformation initiative.

What do I need?

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex technical projects within large enterprises, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, delivery lifecycles, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management.
• Solid understanding of test environment management and test data management
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as architecture diagrams and system flows.
• Confident in working with technical stakeholders and translating between business and IT domains.
• Strong reporting capabilities and the ability to communicate succinctly with executive-level audiences.
• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent streams.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage shifting priorities and lead under pressure.
• A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and strong resilience.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery principles and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence) - Desirable
