Product Design Co‑op (Web & Mobile)
About Bree
Bree is reinventing short‑term cash flow for everyday Canadians. We ship fast, test relentlessly, and obsess over creating products that feel as good as they work. As a design co‑op you’ll join a lean team where you’ll contribute to meaningful product releases from day one.
What you’ll do -
- Design real product — Own end‑to‑end UX/UI for new web and mobile features that reach thousands of users within your term.
- Prototype, test & review — Create high‑fidelity prototypes in Figma and participate in design reviews with the design and product team.
- Level‑up the Design System — Craft or co‑create reusable components, tokens, and documentation that keep Bree looking sharp and shipping faster.
- Partner deeply with engineering — Handoff polished specs, and if you’re keen, write small front‑end PRs using AI‑assisted coding.
- Collaborate with stakeholders — Pair with stakeholders to understand user pain points and measure impact.
- Leverage AI workflows — Harness cutting‑edge AI tools to design faster, iterate smarter, and unleash creative ideas.
- Tackle complexity — Break down gnarly interaction‑design problems into elegant, intuitive flows.
- Own the end-to-end design process—from ideation and wireframes to high-fidelity visuals and handoff.
- Partner with our founders to shape and evolve the product vision and user experience.
You’ll thrive here if you…
- Are fluent in Figma and can demonstrate it with a thoughtful portfolio.
- Have shipped or showcased web and/or mobile projects— Prev. coop experience, coursework, freelance, hackathons all count.
- Sweat the pixels and the systems: you care about micro‑interactions, accessibility, and consistent components.
- Love untangling ambiguous problems, asking great questions, and proposing clear solutions.
- Embrace feedback as fuel and share your own with kindness and clarity.
- Have a deep belief in Bree’s mission to provide Canadian consumers with the best short-term credit services.
Nice‑to‑have, not must‑have
- Experience contributing to a design system or style guide.
- Curious about code and prototyping—comfortable inspecting CSS or experimenting with AI tools (e.g., Bolt, Cursor) to stub out an idea.
