The Opportunity:

We at Orchard are currently on the lookout for a talented Freelance Frontend Developer with awesome JavaScript, HTML & CSS skills to work in our development team. Your key functions will

range from leading project implementations, mentoring junior staff, translating UX designed

wireframes to production level HTML/CSS/JS, integrating third-party APIs and platforms as well as

working on a mixture of projects for a range of clients.

Essential Skills:

Our ideal candidate will be able to comfortably work in a fast-paced agency environment and be

able to provide technical insights and outcomes on creative challenges. While you may not know the answer to all the issues you will face, you will be trusted and supported in finding the solutions.

You will have demonstrated development experience with Vue.js, preferably TypeScript or development experience with React, or experience with Firebase and Google Cloud Functions

One of the following would a good to have:

• The ability to write and debug clean and functional vanilla JavaScript
• Demonstrated experience developing browser-compliant code
• Demonstrated experience integrating with RESTful and third-party APIs
• A strong understanding of SEO compliant mark-up and best practices
• A strong understanding of Accessibility standards

Tools

• Git mastery
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of task runners and bundlers (e.g. Grunt, Gulp, Webpack)
• Familiarity developing in a Windows environment
• Experience with Docker
