About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure / Platforms Engineer to join our growing technology team in Vienna. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure supporting high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and scalable platforms. You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust and modern infrastructure systems across our enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize Linux-based systems infrastructure to support critical applications and services.
• Manage and maintain containerized environments and Kubernetes clusters for orchestration and scalability.
• Operate and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware, Proxmox, KVM, and QEMU.
• Set up and support infrastructure for AI and Machine Learning workloads, including GPU configuration and management.
• Deploy and manage software-defined storage solutions, with a focus on CEPH.
• Implement automation through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development, data, and research initiatives with scalable platform solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Linux systems administration, performance tuning, and infrastructure optimization.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes setup, management, and container orchestration best practices.
• Strong hands-on experience with hypervisor architecture, particularly in enterprise environments.
• Practical knowledge in supporting AI/ML applications and managing GPU-based infrastructure.
• Experience with virtualization technologies including any of these VMware, Proxmox, KVM, and QEMU.
• Familiarity with CEPH or similar software-defined storage systems.
• Proficiency in IaC tools, especially Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong problem-solving skills, system-level thinking, and a proactive engineering mindset.
