Main Purpose of the job:
Plan and lead CAPEX projects and coordinate the contributions of all stakeholders (from project initiation to closure) to deliver projects on-time, on-scope, and on-budget, continuously looking at ways to optimize.
Key responsibilities and outputs:
1. Lead Capital Projects – Manage the planning, budgeting, and execution of CAPEX projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and safety standards.
2. Drive Safety & Compliance – Enforce engineering safety standards and ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental policies, and internal procedures.
3. Oversee Technical Documentation – Maintain accurate and up-to-date engineering documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and maintenance records.
4. Vendor & Contractor Management – Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors for equipment, services, and project execution.
He/she supports the internal clients of the project.
He/she partners with Project Owner and leads project team members in their project tasks to assure the project expected delivery in full.
From INITIATION until CLOSING phases, he/she manages daily project activities scrupulously aligned with Project Management methodology and applies engineering standards when applicable and existing.
He/she ensures fact based, impartial and ethical decisions.
He/she permanently anticipates risk of deviations of the project and develops mitigation scenarios.
He/she monitors, reports, and escalates projects progress with transparency and accuracy.
He/she continuously looking for value for money, optimal schedule, scope match and highest HSE conditions for end-users and project contractors.
He/she is an active member and promoter of his/her projects and of the engineering community. He/she may manage several projects simultaneously.
He/she may be involved in project peer review and/or value engineering of other projects.
Performance measures: Adherence to CAPEX forecast month on month (MoM)
Deviation Estimate at Completion (EAC) from project approval to Closure
Adherence to agreed schedule and scope - Value for money delivery
Key Partners: Other PMs and Subject Matter Experts of the Engineering community
Project Engineers, Maintenance, Production, HSE team of the factory Procurement, Finance of the global/regional organization
Suppliers, Engineering firms
Education/experiences: § BS degree in technical field or Mechanical /Chemical Engineering Graduate
§ 10+ years experiences in both industrial project management (CAPEX>2mio€) and Operations, Industry experience from Food & Beverages, Hygiene Personal Care, Chemical production will be preferred.
§ Exposure to international project environment is required
IT: Advanced: MS-Office
Intermediate: Plan View / AutoCAD
Languages: French & English (B2 – Intermediate level minimum)
Functional competences and Behaviors PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
§ Master Problem solving, Budget control, Planning, management of change and risk analysis,
§ technical specifications, contracting, detailed and executive reporting
TECHNICAL:
§ Good at all engineering disciplines and technology, can challenge/question experts
