Backend Developer

Join our Mobile App team to develop and enhance applications for our lottery systems, directly supporting numerous charities and making a positive impact every day. What you’ll do:

• Designing and building a server-driven UI backend for our mobile apps.
• Managing and enhancing our AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Driving performance, reliability, and scalability improvements across our backend systems.
• Building reusable and configurable features that support multiple brands with minimal duplication.

You’d describe yourself as follows:

• Skilled in TypeScript and Node.js, with a knack for writing clean, maintainable backend code.
• Familiar with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB, plus Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• You value working in a team environment: you enjoy sparring with others, picking up feedback, and helping your teammates improve.
• You like to see your work in action and care about the impact your code has on users and product teams.
• A monthly salary indication between €5.200,- and €6.200,- based on a 40-hour week and flexible working hours.

The Group Tech department is the backbone of the Postcode Lottery Group. Working here, you’ll be part of the team that bears responsibility for all IT operations, ensuring all lottery rounds run smoothly, developing and managing the necessary systems, and setting up and maintaining digital workstations for more than 600 employees. You’ll collaborate with all the lotteries’ departments and with external parties. You'll stay in close touch with colleagues at the Postcode Lotteries abroad, working with them to create the best IT solutions.
