Network Engineer

The role requires strong expertise in network security and routing, with a primary focus on the deployment and administration of Palo Alto and Checkpoint Firewalls, as these devices will account for approximately 65% of day-to-day operations. A solid understanding of Routing and Switching is also critical, especially for supporting the upcoming LAN refresh in the data centers (35% of the role), with an emphasis on Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts. Familiarity with ACI Fabrics, including automation and scripting, is a plus. Additionally, experience with ISE NAC (Network Access Control) and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network fundamentals, including key protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF, along with knowledge of various network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and architectures (LAN, WAN, WLAN). Key responsibilities will involve installing and configuring network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), troubleshooting network issues, and providing network support to end-users. Proficiency in documenting network configurations and maintaining security best practices for firewalls, VPNs, and data protection is essential. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network-related problems, ensuring network reliability and performance.
