We're seeking a hands-on Data Platform Engineer to help design, scale, and optimise a cloud-native data platform for a leading company in the data analytics and AI governance space. You’ll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and evolution of our AWS-based SaaS architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of scalable, cloud-native AWS infrastructure
- Build data platforms that support real-time analytics, governance, and machine learning
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation
- Drive containerisation efforts using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and ArgoCD
- Optimise data pipeline and query performance (SQL, Spark, etc.)
- Apply cloud security best practices and support data privacy compliance
Ideal Candidate
- Proven AWS & DevOps experience, ideally in a SaaS or data-heavy environment
- Skilled in Kubernetes, Docker, and modern IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, etc.)
- Proficient in Python and Typescript
- Experience with distributed systems, data lakes, and warehouse integrations
- Fluent in English
- Analytical mindset with a collaborative, product-oriented approach
