Data Scientist

Having a relevant masters degree and at least 4 years of experience in Operations Research roles in an enterprise or commercial setting.

• Proficient in Python object oriented coding and clean code principles.

• Proficient in Operations Research and in at least one solver (Gurobi preferably, Cplex, COIN-OR etc.) Nice to have: Experience with simulation.

• SQL: A SQL dialect (PostGreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL)

• Cloud: basic knowleddge of at least one platform

• Jira• CI/CD: Fundamental principles (build, releases, environments), Git, Docker• Visual debuggers: Vscode / PyCharm

• Proven experience with the development and industrialization of an application - senior

• Being able to explain complex technical topics to peers, non-technical colleagues and management in an easy to digest way and adapt style to suit the audience.

• Proactive and independent way of working

• Data visualization skills are a plus.We are looking for passionate and talented Operations Research experts, for curious builders who are biased towards action, communication and enjoy working in a fast-paced and international environment.

The candidate should be capable of writing a basic REST API python application which interacts with a database.It should query selected data from the database, perform manipulations and aggregations on the data based on some kind of business requirement, and serve it as response of an API endpoint.

The code should adhere to common best practices, candidate should be capable of justifying choices and explaining standards.

The candidate should know how to write tests for the application (how to test the business logic of the application, how to test endpoints).

Day-to-day activities include: - Talking to business stakeholders about requirements or to gather feedback on your work- Analyzing business challenges and coming up with a proposal to solve it- Building optimization models and getting them into production- Optimizing and monitoring existing models- Doing ad hoc analysis on any issue the business might be facing.
