Senior Project Manager – Global Transformation Program

Location: Dublin – Hybrid working


Type: Day rate contract


A global enterprise is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact transformation initiatives across multiple business units. This is a senior-level role with broad strategic influence, ideal for a seasoned leader with a proven track record managing complex, global change programmes.


Key Responsibilities:


Programme Strategy & Planning

  • Define and manage programme strategy in line with corporate goals.
  • Develop detailed roadmaps with timelines, milestones, and interdependencies.
  • Align programme direction with executive leadership and key decision-makers.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders across business and IT functions.
  • Drive alignment, facilitate decision-making, and maintain transparency across the programme.
  • Act as a key liaison between delivery teams and business leadership.


Project & Resource Management

  • Oversee cross-functional teams and project managers to ensure consistent delivery standards.
  • Monitor project execution, proactively address risks, and manage resource allocation across workstreams.
  • Ensure consistency with PMO standards and best practices.


Change Management

  • Lead organisational change efforts to drive engagement, adoption, and behavioural shifts.
  • Design and implement communications strategies and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Cultivate a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement.


Performance & Reporting

  • Establish KPIs and success metrics aligned with programme outcomes.
  • Deliver progress reports, dashboards, and executive briefings on a regular basis.
  • Conduct retrospectives and recommend data-driven adjustments to strategy and delivery.


Risk & Governance

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks at the programme level.
  • Build effective contingency planning frameworks and risk response strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and audit standards.


Vendor & Partner Management

  • Lead commercial relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and consultants.
  • Manage RFPs, outsourcing, and contract negotiations, ensuring performance and value delivery.


Knowledge Transfer & Best Practices

  • Document lessons learned and embed best practices into future programmes.
  • Foster internal capability building and knowledge sharing across the organisation.


Ideal Candidate:

  • 10–15+ years in programme/project management within global or complex environments.
  • Deep transformation experience across business and technology domains.
  • Proven experience leading multi-year, enterprise-wide change programmes.
  • Familiarity with PMO setup, programme governance, and strategic planning.
  • Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing vendors, RFPs, and outsourcing.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with business intelligence or data analysis tools is an advantage.
