Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for someone with key skills and able to perform the following roles & responsibilities :-

Key Responsibilities

• Design and test complex network configurations for a video pipeline in the cloud.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, from the source of the video to the end user’s player
• Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor and optimize cloud network infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Integrate, configure and test different CDN vendors.
• Implement and maintain network automation and orchestration tools around multiple cloud components.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Essential
• School of Engineering or master’s degree in computer science
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in network engineering and quality assessment.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and layers fundamentals:
• TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols
• Diagnostic and resolution of issues around routing, latency, bandwidth, and packet loss.
• Experience with major Cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure, GCP
• Experience with CDNs such as Akamai, Fastly, CloudFront
• Edge servers, origin servers, points of presence
• Caching strategies
• Load balancing and failover mechanisms
• Develop and execute testing plans to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Proficiency in network deployment and monitoring.
• Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Terraform
• Strong problem-solving skills and good analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Desirable
• Experience with network security practices and tools.
• DDoS mitigation, WAF (Web Application Firewall)
• TLS/SSL, secure token authentication
• Access control and geo-blocking
• Developing with one of Python / Go / C++ for network libraries integration into the components
• Experience in Internet TV domain (HLS, DASH) is nice to have.

• Rennes, France – Hybrid (3 days on site per week)
