Senior Frontend Developer – JavaScript Expert (Contract – Dublin, Hybrid)

📍 Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite)

💼 Contract: 12 Months (with long-term project pipeline)

My client, a global consultancy, is scaling a high-impact engineering team in Dublin to build a modern, framework-agnostic UI Component Library for a major international tech transformation programme. We're looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with deep JavaScript (ES6+) experience to help design, develop, and scale a new design system used across multiple teams and platforms.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

• Build scalable, reusable UI components using Custom Elements and Shadow DOM
• Work alongside a strong, tight-knit team of frontend experts and architects
• Collaborate with UX designers and cross-functional dev teams in the US and Ireland
• Contribute to a full rebuild of an outdated Angular-based system, using modern JS approaches
• Help drive adoption of a new component library and influence frontend architecture at scale

✅ What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of Web Components, Custom Elements, and ideally Shadow DOM
• Knowledge of frameworks like Stencil or Lit is a bonus (training provided)
• Experience building or contributing to component libraries or design systems
• Comfortable working in high-performance teams and collaborative environments
• 4–10+ years of frontend experience
