About The Role

As the Head of IT Operations at Sygnum, you will lead the central hub that interfaces with clients, business units, and technology to support daily business activities. Your role is crucial in maintaining high-quality IT services and ensuring robust business operations. By optimizing IT Operations, you will significantly boost the organization’s competitiveness and reputation, enabling the company to swiftly adapt to evolving client needs and stay ahead in a competitive landscape. You will be responsible for strengthening IT Operations, leveraging automation, and building a service-oriented organization that prioritizes security, efficiency, business continuity, and customer-centric solutions.

Main Resposibilities

• Manage global IT Operations (Switzerland and Singapore-based team).
• Ensure stable IT infrastructure and compliance with SLAs.
• Oversee global IT services and license management (e.g., Microsoft, Azure Cloud).
• Lead ITIL processes (Incident, Problem and Change Managment, and Security Operations).
• Oversee strategic IT Operations roadmap.
• Enhance IT Operations for efficiency through automation and continuous improvement.
• Manage internal and external audits related to data and infrastructure.
• Oversee outsourcing partners and manage vendor contracts.
• Prepare IT budgets for hardware, software and change initiatives.
• Manage internal and external Security Operations.
• Lead the Major Incident Management team.
• Manage workplace and office infrastructure
  
  

Our ideal candidate

• Over 10 years of experience in managing IT Operations and leading people.
• Degree in systems technology, engineering, science, technology, or business (Bachelor's or equivalent).
• Demonstrated success in building and improving IT Operations, including service organization, automation, and workplace management.
• Extensive expertise in managing Microsoft-based infrastructure (Entra, Office365, Azure).
• Proficient in Microsoft security products (Sentinel, Purview, MS Defender).
• Significant experience with third-party service providers (e.g., outsourcing).
• More than 5 years of experience in IT process standardization and ITIL v4 certification.
• Excellent communication and persuasion skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organized with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and value delivery for customers.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  
  

Nice To Have

• Fluent in German.
• General IT network experience is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in the areas of ITIL, Microsoft etc.
• Interest and knowledge in cryptocurrencies, blockchain, or similar.
