We are looking for an Assistant Registrar (AR) to join the Academic Support and Examinations Section of the Registry.
The Role
The appointee will lead the Academic Services Office to oversee matters related to the processing and distribution of University official documents, such as degree certificates, transcripts, testimonials, etc. They will also be responsible for the provision of academic support services to students and alumni; development of the Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP) Blockchain project; provision of administrative support by acting as Secretary for a number of University committees; and performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisors. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.
Qualifications And Qualities
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years’ work experience at supervisory level, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have an excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; the ability to multitask under pressure with a high level of independence and self-motivation; a strong sense of responsibility; and an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should also possess a good record of policy formulation and implementation, good IT knowledge, committee secretaryship, and staff management experience.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on full-time fixed-term contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided where appropriate.
