Salary: $140,000-$160,000

Location: Sydney - Hybrid (2/3 Days Work From Home)

The Role:

They are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their agile development team.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of backend best practices and a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and maintain backend systems that enhance functionality and user experience

• Implement automated testing to ensure platform stability and reliability

• Collaborate with engineering peers to design, release, and support new features

• Take ownership of services and code in production environments

• Manage and optimise relational databases for performance and scalability

Ideal Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in backend software development

• Strong proficiency with Node.js

• Experience with NestJS

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and backend development best practices

• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
