DevOps Engineer – Sydney

They are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the development, UAT, and production environments, ensuring a smooth, reliable software delivery lifecycle. This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation at the very forefront of technology-driven trading.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for low-latency and FPGA teams, managing Linux-based development environments.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines for internal tools and trading infrastructure.
• Oversee the CI/CD ecosystem from configuration to monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Manage artifact storage with secure, reliable access to build outputs and dependencies.
• Coordinate and support production releases, including validation and post-deployment checks.
• Monitor and optimise the performance of CI/CD infrastructure and development toolchains.

Requirements

• Proficiency in both a scripting language (Python, Bash preferred) and a systems programming language (C/C++ preferred).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Hands-on experience with containers (Docker) and configuration management tools (Ansible).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search, and Splunk.
• Excellent communication skills.
