Cyber Security Engineer

Location: Brisbane

Work Arrangement: 2 days WFH

Company Overview

BLACKROC is partnering with a high-growth, technology-led organisation to secure an Agentic CyberSec / SecOps Specialist. This is a unique permanent opportunity to lead security across a modern, cloud-native environment while supporting the build of next-generation AI-driven systems.

Role Purpose

We are seeking a senior, hands-on security practitioner to own end-to-end security, spanning SecOps, cloud security, and ISO 27001 certification. This role will play a critical part in embedding security into cutting-edge agentic AI systems operating across sensitive and regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ISO 27001 implementation and certification
• Design and operate security monitoring (SIEM, detection, alerting)
• Own vulnerability management and incident response
• Secure AWS environments (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, etc.)
• Embed security into AI/agentic system design
• Drive compliance across Essential Eight and Australian regulations

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in Cyber Security / SecOps (hands-on)
• Proven ISO 27001 implementation experience
• Strong AWS security expertise
• SIEM / monitoring platform experience
• Incident response and vulnerability management
• Knowledge of Australian privacy and compliance frameworks

Preferred

• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor
• Essential Eight experience
• AI / ML / agentic system exposure
• Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Security)
