About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Scientist / AI Engineer to design and deliver impactful AI applications using Microsoft AI Services, Generative AI, and Copilot. You’ll take on diverse business challenges: from building virtual assistants to automating internal workflows, and turn them into production-ready solutions that enhance customer experiences, empower employees, and optimise processes.

This role is self-directed and innovation-focused. You’ll work with techniques such as Prompt Engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, speech-to-text, image generation & interpretation, and classical ML/statistical methods. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, communicate results directly to leadership, and contribute to reusable AI frameworks in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI solutions using Microsoft AI ecosystem tools (Azure AI, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Copilot)
• Apply a mix of Generative AI and Predictive AI methods to real-world use cases
• Build proof-of-concepts and evolve them into scalable, production-ready solutions in Python
• Share insights with the team and help define AI best practices
• Present results and recommendations to senior stakeholders

What You Bring

• Strong Python and AI/ML development skills
• Experience deploying AI applications into production
• Knowledge of Generative AI techniques, with the ability to quickly learn new ones
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to turn ideas into deliverables
• Clear communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Languages: English + French or Dutch
