Middle/Senior C/C++ Software Engineer

Our client is a US security and networking company that helps people connect securely with confidence on any device, to any application, anywhere, anytime. Together with the client, we aim to improve the current firewall system by making it more secure and less costly to maintain.

The plan is to reduce the amount of resources the firewall uses and make it cheaper, but still just as effective. This will require a lot of work from engineers, who will figure out what can be simplified or removed without compromising the firewall’s performance.

IF YOU ARE

• An experienced С/C++ software engineer with 4+ years of track record
• Showing hands-on experience with delivering high-performance networking and cloud software in C and C++
• Experienced in cybersecurity technologies like Firewalls, VPN, and IPS
• Skilled in networking: topologies and common protocols, services, and concepts (TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, OSI Model, routing/switching)
• Experienced with hands-on delivery of high-performance networking and cloud software in C and C++
• Confident with Linux/Unix systems programming, including file systems, processes, and signals
• Good at techniques for optimizing network applications for low latency and high throughput
• Knowledgeable in memory, CPU, and disk optimization techniques
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
• Familiar with other programming languages like Python, Go (would be a plus)
• Aware of ARM architecture (as an advantage)
• Experienced with Data Plane Development Kit (nice to have)

• Work in the security domain and collaborate on a new security platform
• Participate in software refactoring ideas, research, and PoC
• Implement a new platform solution that will be less resource-intensive
• Focus on things like UDP protocols, traffic management, and networking
