Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

A permanent Senior Full Stack Developer opportunity is available with a fast-growing, mission-driven product-based business. You will join a collaborative, junior-heavy development team, taking on a key role in delivering robust, scalable software solutions that directly support emergency services, non-profits, and service providers across Australia and internationally.

This is a hands-on role with around ninety percent coding, working across both frontend and backend development. The frontend is built in Vue.js and TypeScript, while the backend uses TypeScript with MongoDB. AWS experience is welcomed but not essential. You’ll contribute to major rebuild projects, product enhancements, and ongoing production support, while also mentoring junior developers and helping strengthen the overall engineering capability.

The team has a relaxed, supportive culture, with flexibility in working arrangements and a genuine focus on building technology that makes a difference in people’s lives. This is a full-time role, ideally Perth-based or in a Perth time zone, with three days a week in the office.

You Should Have

• 8+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong skills with Vue.js or React (4–5 years+)
• TypeScript experience across both frontend and backend (4+ years)
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Willingness to mentor junior developers and share knowledge

Nice to Have

• MongoDB experience
• AWS infrastructure knowledge
• Experience working in a startup or fast-moving product environment
