Your role

As a Software Development Project Manager at Product Unit Fighter Radar, you will have a meaningful role driving internal and external radar application and/or airborne simulator deliveries through all product development phases. Products are characterized by high performance world-class technology with demanding requirements on size, weight and power operating in extremely harsh environmental conditions. Further involves radar application development (target tracking, signal processing) as well as airborne simulator development and offers possibility to build both technical and people skills.

As a Software Development Project Manager, you will:

• From cradle to grave, lead, plan and execute software (SW) delivery projects (such as function/feature delivery) targeting PU Fighter radar product range.
• Successfully build project teams with colleagues from other SAAB business units and functions, such as system design as well as system integration and verification.
• Through all SW development phases, engage and motivate team members to deliver state of art functionality and SW products.
• Perform stakeholder management to ensure project time, scope, cost and quality are meeting set expectations.
• Closely collaborate with supporting functions involved in project delivery such as SW development infrastructure team and System Test infrastructure team to enable successful project delivery.
• Actively contribute in developing new ways-of-working with focus on lead-time reduction and if necessary, drive change within assigned responsibility.
  
  
  

Your profile

To be successful in this role, we see that you have the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and possess a leadership skillset. This includes problem-solving, attention to details as well as good communication skills. We see that you hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent. You have a genuine interest in SW Development of complex products. You have proven leadership track record regarding managing complex projects, both from a technical as well as coordination perspective.

Thus, experience in the following areas is seen as required:

• Led projects focusing on developing complex software (e.g. as product owner, feature lead or equivalent).
• Project Management experience within organizations applying agile ways-of-working.
  
  
  

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
