We seek a Junior Game Designer and Live Ops QA person to play a crucial role in shaping the future of a title known all over the world. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of developers, artists, and other game designers to conceive, design, and implement engaging and innovative features that captivate a global player community. Flexibility & Remote Work:

Responsibilities


  • Use admin tools to set up and execute in-game promotions and events.
  • Compile event and feature design specs.
  • Rigorous playtesting for live events.
  • Resolve errors for events before they go live.
  • Set up event experiments with game designers.
  • Work with engineers to improve the process of setting up future events.
  • Play games (internal and external) in order to suggest ideas to the game team.


RequirementGenine love and passion for video g
  • Strong collaborative spirit.
  • Solid understanding of Free-to-Play and geo mobile gaming.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in the video game industry, especially game design, QA, or live ops.
  • Good knowledge/intuition for player motivations in order to keep the audience engaged and improve game features.
  • Highly focused attention to detail and organization.
  • Extremely proficient with spreadsheets.
  • Self-motivated go-getter.
  • Ability to work remotely during core team hours, M-F: 9:00am - 5pm Pacific Time.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Must be a US resident.



Pluses


  • Been a part of multiple successful title launches or ongoing support.
  • Proficiency with additional design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc)
  • Strong ability to understand, breakdown, and create game specs, including seasonal, live ops event specs.
  • Experience working on a live game, operated as a service.
  • Basic understanding of how the business and economics of mobile games works.
  • Experience with Jira (or other task/bug tracking software).
  • Experience with Unity3D (or Unreal).
  • Knowledge of F2P (free to play) methodologies.
  • Wide general knowledge of gaming systems, state-of-the art genre conventions.
  • Live in or around Spokane, WA or the greater Pacific Northwest.


The salary range for this role is $50k - $75k
