Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineering Consultant. The team builds the digital capabilities that support our finance function—ranging from invoice processing and budgeting to cost estimation for our manufactured products.

This role focuses on two key areas:

Developing and maintaining our shared data platform (built on AWS S3, Snowflake, dbt, and Terraform) to ensure it meets the needs of our finance teams.
Collaborating with finance analysts and stakeholders to define, design, and deliver high-quality, domain-aligned data products in line with data mesh principles. We are looking for someone excited to contribute to building a truly data-driven organization—one where autonomy, ownership, and collaboration across teams are key to success.

What You'll Do

Enhance our shared data platform by improving capabilities such as temporal data handling, access control, ingestion pipelines, and developer experience.
Co-design finance data products in close partnership with analysts and finance stakeholders—supporting both internal finance needs and broader organizational use.
Ensure robust data ingestion from third-party systems, in collaboration with our backend engineering team.
Champion data mesh principles by promoting decentralized ownership and interoperability of data products.

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves:

Proven experience designing and implementing modern data architectures.
Strong hands-on experience with: Data lakes (e.g. AWS S3), Data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake), dbt or similar
Familiarity with data mesh principles and domain-oriented thinking.
Experience working closely with stakeholders designing data products
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Kotlin/Java for ingesting data from microservices and third-party sources
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience building and operating microservice-based architectures.
Understanding of business architecture, especially information concept modeling
