Machine Learning Engineer (B2B contract)

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) on a B2B contract to join our client' team and drive the development, automation, and governance of AI/ML solutions for internal customers.

As an MLE, you will collaborate with Data Scientists, Domain Experts, and Product Owners to design and deploy end-to-end AI products, ensuring scalability, performance, and business impact. You will work across cloud platforms, DevOps/MLOps, and application development to bring advanced ML solutions into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop production-ready code and ML applications
• Leverage GPU & CPU resources, ensuring efficient ML workloads
• Architect, automate, and orchestrate DevOps/MLOps pipelines on cloud
• Build re-usable tools and frameworks for monitoring and maintaining ML solutions
• Design and implement data engineering pipelines (ETL)
• Translate business problems into scalable AI/ML solutions
• Participate in workshops, conferences, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Stay up to date with AI/ML trends, tools, and technologies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related fields
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in ML/AI engineering
• Strong programming skills (Python preferred)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Azure
• Proficiency with ETL workflows, Airflow, Kubeflow, or similar orchestration tools
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, RESTful APIs
• Comfortable in Unix/Linux environments
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Language: Romanian

Nice to Have

• Experience with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch
• Strong understanding of ML/DL algorithms
• Knowledge of IoT/Edge technology or oilfield terminology (a plus)
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hadoop, Hive, NoSQL
• Open-source contributions
