Seasoned Java Developer

Our client is a long-established Nordic distributor in the automotive and marine industry, operating across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. They supply spare parts and accessories to a wide market including cars, trucks, motorbikes and boats. Their main sales channel is a B2B2C model, with over 400 franchise workshops across Scandinavia. The company also operates a central warehouse and 38 local warehouses, ensuring rapid distribution to its workshop network.

The business is highly stable and profitable, but its IT systems have not been modernised for over 20 years. A new CTO has recently been appointed to lead a major digital transformation initiative to rebuild key business systems on modern architecture.

Role: Senior Java Developer

Location: Stockholm (3 days remote per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

Language: Fluent Swedish Required

Responsibilities:

• Greenfield development of backend systems for warehouses, workshops, and B2B ordering platform
• Work within a modern Microsoft/Azure strategy while building core services in Java
• Collaborate with architects and other developers to design scalable solutions

Requirements:

• Strong Java development experience (Java 8–17)
• Spring framework
• Azure expertise
• SQL proficiency
