Flutter/Dart Developer (Mobile App) Internship

Babylon is an independent online media platform and community resource, based in Ireland, dedicated to providing guides and support for expatriates and immigrants worldwide. Additionally, Babylon offers music from around the world, hosts multicultural events, and more.

This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience and build a fantastic portfolio. This is a minimum 3-month, unpaid internship, but we are committed to making it a valuable learning experience for you.

This is a full-time, hybrid position. Our office is in Smithfield, Dublin.

We’re looking for a Flutter/Dart Developer to play a key role in developing and maintaining our mobile app. This is a chance to work on a live project, apply your coding skills, and gain valuable experience in cross-platform mobile app development. You’ll work with a collaborative team to design, build, and optimize features that will be used by our diverse user base.

• Design & Develop: Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain our mobile app using Flutter.
• Write Clean Code: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. You will also participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot & Optimize: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance to ensure the best possible user experience.
• Collaborate & Deploy: Work closely with UI/UX designers and assist with the deployment of new features and updates.

• Basic Proficiency: You have a basic proficiency in Flutter and Dart programming. You should also have a good understanding of RESTful APIs and be familiar with Git version control.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You have strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Team Player: You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Passion to Learn: You have a passion for learning new technologies and a strong desire to improve your skill set.
