We are working with an international SaaS company providing cloud-based workforce management solutions since 2006. Their platform helps businesses in retail, hospitality, and service industries optimize their HR and operational processes. With tools for scheduling, time tracking, payroll, HR management, and communication, they offer a comprehensive solution for efficient workforce management.

About The Role

As Software Testing Specialist, you will participate in the development process, with a focus on testing and understanding requirements and business value. You actively participate in the planning of the software implementation tasks and tests in the sprint together with your cross-functional team. You will work closely with colleagues in across Europe, collaborating with developers and product owners to add velocity to our Integration and Platform and Infrastructure teams and make sure we can deliver a stable product.

Your focus will be on conducting systematic tests following best practices, creating reproducible bug reports. You will independently develop, implement and execute API tests for both internal and external APIs. You are responsible for consistency and availability of test data together with the testing team and that test data are updated according to GDPR and security policies. Last but not least, you create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Test APIs to make sure they work well, are reliable, and perform efficiently.
• Collaborate with developers, the Senior QA Lead and Product Owners to understand project requirements and provide valuable insights during the development lifecycle.
• Develop, implement, and execute automated API tests using scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
• Validate API responses using Swagger documentation and ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate, maintain, and execute regression tests for releases.
• Work closely with the QA team to integrate API testing into the overall testing strategy and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Conduct manual integration testing to ensure seamless interactions between different components.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  
  

Expectations

• 3 years of working experience as a software tester, ideally in a software product company
• Experience in API testing/integration testing or backend testing
• Good working experience using Postman, Rest-assured or similar tools
• Knowledge of QA processes and Agile development
• Regression testing
• English written and spoken on a professional level
• A university degree, preferably within IT or Engineering
• Nice to have: Programming knowledge
