About Your New Job as a Project Manager

• Lead Project Initiation and Planning: Assume overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects.
• Define and clarify project scope while developing and maintaining the project schedule.
• Take ownership for managing and reporting project progress.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful project implementation.
• Engage with Manufacturing Operations to evaluate existing process layouts for new process integration.
• Participate in the selection, training, and performance appraisal process of project resources.
• Identify, monitor, and appropriately manage project risks.
• Establish priorities, impart a sense of urgency and importance to the team, and use project management tools and techniques to support the delivery of new products per cost and time commitments.

What Skills You Need as Project Manager

• Project Management Certification
• Project Management Expertise: Understanding of project management best practices and experience with MS Project is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in medical device project delivery is desirable but not essential.
• Strong ability to build schedules, organize teams, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with internal programs like One PPM for keeping project management information up to date.
