As a Python Backend Developer, you will:

  • Develop and maintain complex backend applications using Python, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
  • Leverage your expertise in Azure Functions, MSSQL, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Service Bus to build scalable, efficient solutions.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services into our ecosystem.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver features and solutions efficiently.
  • Use Azure pipelines or similar CI/CD tools for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Apply your understanding of software design patterns, testing strategies, and architecture principles to ensure system integrity and scalability.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of applications for maximum efficiency.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and improvement.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 6-8 years of experience in backend development, with at least 5 years of hands-on Python experience.
  • Strong experience developing applications using RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure functions, MSSQL, FastAPI, Docker, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Proven experience integrating third-party APIs and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially Azure pipelines.
  • A solid understanding of software design patterns and testing methodologies.
  • Previous experience with performance tuning and system optimization.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in web development technologies and Agile methodologies.
  • Fluent in English (required).
  • Based in or willing to work in a hybrid role within The Netherlands.

  • Adapt quickly to changing requirements and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate effectively within teams and cross-functional teams.
  • Guide and mentor junior developers to build their skills.
  • Understand and address customer needs, focusing on delivering solutions that meet business objectives.
