Design & Development

• Design, validate, and implement new projects, modules, and features across all tiers: database, integrations, business logic, core services, and user experience.
• Build tools, documentation, and processes to support “self-serve” for other business units that will consume our services.

Customer & Business Understanding

• Learn about our customers, business processes, and outcomes while providing support.
• Resolve complex technical issues and drive improvements in system availability, scalability, resiliency, and performance.

Operations & Reliability

• Define SLA/SLOs for services and manage code deployments, fixes, and software updates.
• Build and maintain GitOps-driven CI/CD pipelines and automate operational processes as needed.
• Provide rapid response to security monitoring alerts, infrastructure outages, or service degradation.
• Troubleshoot network, hardware, and operating system issues or bottlenecks.

What you’ll need to be successful

• Strong back-end development experience with an in-depth understanding of OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Experience with HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3, especially use within larger reusable frameworks. Experience with Java, or another object-oriented language (C#, C++, Python,Ruby, Objective-C, etc.).
• Great engineering skills, and elegance in your work.
• A strong sense of ownership of the work you do and the belief in doing things the right way for the right reasons.
• Proven track record of solving problems creatively.
• A fanatical pursuit of quality with a strong appreciation for the connection between the software you build and the experience it delivers to customers.
• A growth mindset and willingness to solve challenging problems and learn.
• Deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced, dynamic agile team environment.

Desired Skills (Non-Exclusive)

• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Experience in UI development, i.e. React, Angular.
• Experience with CI/CD.
• Experience in agile software development, and short release cycles.
• Experience building a high-performance, large-scale application.
