Location: Dublin, Ireland

Type: Contract

Length: 12 months+

Rate: €375 per day

Hybrid role – 1 days onsite a week in North Dublin.

We are seeking a proficient Network Engineer with extensive expertise in designing, maintaining and troubleshooting complex enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge across LAN, Wireless, Firewalls, MPLS and Datacentre networks, along with solid troubleshooting skills and a solid hold of core protocols such as BGP and OSPF. This job is for a self-starting individual who can find solutions. You should work well both individually and with a team, especially when under strain or in environments with strict rules.

There will be a requirement to perform on-call work from time to time (Paid).

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience as network engineer
• Robust knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, Wireless, MPLS, Firewalls and Datacentre
• Demonstrable experience troubleshooting network issues
• Deep knowledge of network infrastructure protocols, including BGP and OSPF
• Experience with at least one of the following vendors (more is beneficial): Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, McAfee, F5, Avaya, Netscreen, Forcepoint
• Network certification (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA)

Key responsibilities & duties include:

• Maintain computer networks, system software, application software, hardware, and their configurations.
• Working closely with partners, vendors and associated support teams
• Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and other network and system problems
• Replacing faulty network hardware components when required
• Supporting the network operation lifecycle by reviewing and implementing changes, supporting the delivery of new services, and working with the network manager on capacity and uptime
• Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems
