Talent International is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our utility sector client on an initial 6-month contract with potential for extensions. This role is based at their Ipswich office, with the flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.

The Role:


As a Data Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. You'll play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture, empowering the organization to utilise data for informed decision-making and innovation. This role involves using CI/CD tools to deliver and automate solutions efficiently while adhering to approved data governance practices. You'll collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance on the best data practices and new technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain data transformations to enable efficient data transfer across systems.
  • Build, maintain, and document data models, reports, and dashboards to meet various team requirements.
  • Mentor data consumers on effective data model use.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies when developing solutions.
  • Advise on emerging technologies relevant to data engineering.
  • Support the clients values and policies, including health, safety, and environmental standards.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data transformation, ETL development, or data integration roles.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Data modeling and data transformation.
    • Microsoft SQL Server (Integration Services, Reporting Services).
    • TSQL scripting and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Desirable skills in Microsoft Power Platform and Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration analysis, data quality, performance, and security.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
