Position: AI Product Manager
Duration: 12 Months (Possibility of extension or conversion)
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 3 Days/ Week Onsite)
We are seeking a skilled and innovative AI-powered Product Manager to drive the development and enhancement of financial products across both lending workflows and capital markets execution. The role requires a strong understanding of loan origination, lending lifecycle management, and capital markets processes, combined with the ability to apply modern technology to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance client outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end product development across lending and capital markets, from ideation and design to implementation and rollout.
- Deliver workflow digitization, new product features, and system integrations to streamline loan origination, approvals, and syndication.
- Leverage AI and automation where applicable to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve decision-making.
- Apply deep knowledge of lending workflows (facility setup, approvals, covenant monitoring, documentation, servicing).
- Partner with coverage bankers and operations to improve client experience and automate manual processes.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between loan origination systems, risk engines, and downstream platforms.
- Support deal setup, syndication, order management, allocation, and trade booking workflows.
- Build solutions that link origination data with execution platforms, enabling front-to-back deal visibility.
- Improve reporting, risk tracking, and compliance within capital markets workflows.
- Partner across front office, middle office, and operations to define requirements and prioritize delivery.
- Provide clear updates, product roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes to stakeholders.
- Monitor industry developments in lending and capital markets to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Benchmark workflows and implement best practices with an AI-powered product management mindset.
- Define and track KPIs such as deal setup efficiency, loan approval turnaround time, booking accuracy, and risk reduction.
- Continuously optimize workflows using data-driven insights.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 6-10 years of relevant experience in capital markets product development or a related role.
- Capital Markets Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and trading strategies.
- Experience with product development lifecycles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- AI Skills (Added Advantage):Familiarity with AI concepts and technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics.
- Experience applying AI to solve problems in capital markets is a plus.
- Knowledge of AI development tools and platforms.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
