About the team
SUEZ is in the process of refreshing its strategy both globally and locally with the creation of our Strategy & Risk division. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Risk, you will support the development, execution and monitoring of strategic initiatives that enable SUEZ ANZ to achieve its longer-term objectives. As our Strategy & Risk Analyst, you will provide analytical insights, market intelligence, and undertake risk assessments to guide informed decision-making. The position will play a key role in aligning corporate priorities with emerging opportunities, regulatory changes, and operational realities in the water infrastructure sector.
About the role
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to strategic planning by analysing markets, industry trends, competitors, and potential projects or investments.
- Provide market and industry intelligence, tracking regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and innovation opportunities.
- Support risk assessment and analysis, helping identify, evaluate, and monitor key enterprise and project risks.
- Deliver financial and commercial insights, including the development of transparent, flexible financial models.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment between strategy and delivery, and prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and papers for executives and external stakeholders.
About you
You will hold a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, or a related field coupled with 3 - 5 years’ experience gained in a respected infrastructure advisory practice. Your background can demonstrate where you have advised government and private sector clients on infrastructure projects and transactions, with specific expertise in strategy development, financial modelling & risk analysis.
A strong financial modeller, you bring advanced analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and data visualisation tools. Your research capability is complemented by the ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights. Experience with risk management frameworks will also be highly regarded.
With a commercial and strategic mindset, you communicate confidently across a diverse set of stakeholders and thrive in a newly formed team environment. Naturally curious and proactive, you bring agility, adaptability, and a growth mindset to problem solving.
