What You’ll Do

As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll work with our software and data science team to build AI-driven tools and applications that support growers and help manage our global fleet of IoT sensors.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Developing and deploying AI models for sensor data analysis and decision support
• Implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems to combine sensor data with external knowledge sources
• Exploring MCP (Model Context Protocol) and other emerging standards for integrating AI into workflows
• Designing backend services and APIs to manage and monitor IoT devices at scale
• Building data pipelines for processing, storing, and visualizing sensor data
• Supporting real-time monitoring and anomaly detection in the sensor network
• Collaborating with hardware, firmware, and agronomy teams to ensure seamless integration

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field
• Strong programming skills (Python, Go, or similar)
• Knowledge of modern AI/ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex)
• Interest in AI orchestration, RAG pipelines, and context protocols like MCP
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and databases (e.g. GCP, PostgreSQL, mongoDB)
• Understanding of IoT concepts, distributed systems, or real-time data processing is a plus
• Proactive mindset, problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn
• Able to work on-site in Amsterdam
