Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Looking for a Network Engineer for a 6-month extendable contract in Sharjah.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including routers, switches, etc and configurations.
2. Installing, Configuring and troubleshooting wired and wireless networks.
3. Designing, configuring and testing networks to meet business requirements of corporate, branch offices and new projects.
4. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations which involves troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving network and system problems.
5. Monitor network performance and ensure availability and reliability
6. Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
7. Investigate faults in the network and report all network status
8. Proactively evaluate network environments using various tools and management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

1. Thorough working knowledge of Local Area Networks (IP Addressing, DNS, IP Routing, VPN, etc).
2. Technical expertise in the implementation, operation and design of multi-vendor and multi-protocol environments.
3. Troubleshooting system and application problems in a multi-protocol network
4. Strong hands-on experience designing, configuring and operating enterprise wired & wireless networks and storage networks.
5. Hands on experience designing, implementing and managing large-scale network security infrastructure consisting of firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems, Network Access control solutions.
6. Experienced in the setup and support of VoIP phone systems.
7. Experienced to proficient in design, setup and configuration of wireless networking
8. Strong knowledge, skills and experience with
9. Multivendor Routing and Switching products
10. Network security protocols, technologies, standards and tools
11. Various authentication protocols and solutions
12. Multi-vendor wireless networking
13. Wired and Wireless network QoS
14. Network device management and monitoring tools like PRTG
15. Network architectures in public cloud environments
16. Strong analytical, research, planning, documentation, presentation, and written/verbal communication skills.

CERTIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
