Java Developer (PHP Exp)

Job Title: Junior–Mid Level Java Developer (with PHP knowledge)

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 2 days per week in Dublin City office)

Salary: €40,000 – €50,000 DOE

We are looking for a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Java Developer to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, building robust and scalable applications, while gaining exposure to modern tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications.
• Work with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
• Use version control tools (e.g., Git) effectively in daily development.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience with Java development.
• Familiarity with PHP (commercial or academic experience).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Exposure to frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with containerisation tools (e.g., Docker).

Nice to Have

• Exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT).
• Kubernetes knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, JavaScript, React).
