Backend Developer

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Backend Developer to support our team in Singapore. It's a 12 months contract.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using IBM App Connect Enterprise and Java codes (Spring Framework), ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Manage the administration of IBM App Connect Enterprise, including patching, installation, and upgrades of IBM ACE versions v12.
• Should have hands-on experience working with various nodes within IBM App Connect, including compute nodes (ESQL, Java), MQ nodes, callable flows, database nodes and security policies, setup database connections (odbc, jdbc) etc.
• Implement CI/CD practices using tools like GitHub to automate source code deployment and streamline deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of applications.
• Participate in migration projects for IBM App Connect, contributing to planning, execution, and post-migration support.
• Provide occasional weekend support for patching and upgrades, compensated with time off in-lieu on business days.
• Design secure applications within IBM App Connect, adhering to best practices and security policies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of IBM ACE configurations, processes, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Possess a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related fields.
• 7-8 years of hands-on experience with IBM ACE and Java Spring Framework.
• Proven experience with IBM ACE v11/12, including administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, particularly GitHub.
• Good understanding of IBM MQ features and functionalities.
• Proficient in Linux OS, with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Should have knowledge on SWIFT messaging format.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience working on IBM ACE migration projects.
• Understanding of SWIFT messaging formats.
