We are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to join our client’s international Network Engineering and Operations Team. You will play a key role in Project NGN, supporting the migration of over 2,000 servers to a Cisco ACI fabric as part of a major infrastructure transformation. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project within a dynamic global team (US, Spain, Switzerland), contributing to both project delivery and long-term network operations.
Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid – 60% remote / 40% onsite)
Contract Type: 16 months (with potential extension)

Position description
- Support the migration of 2,000+ servers from the legacy network to a new Cisco ACI fabric.
- Collaborate with a global team of ~25 engineers across multiple countries.
- Perform migrations primarily outside of standard office hours (twice per week, evenings/weekends).
- Ensure smooth, secure, and efficient transitions with minimal downtime.
- Post-migration: provide operational support, troubleshooting, and enhancements within the Cisco-based environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of network reliability, scalability, and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in: Network Troubleshooting, Cisco Routing & Switching and TCP/UDP protocols and fundamentals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during critical migrations.
- Team player with good analytical and conceptual thinking.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Additional language skills: German or Spanish.
- Experience in large-scale data centre or enterprise migrations.
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI technologies.
