Software Engineer - Healthcare

Function

Join us as a fullstack software developer, playing a key role in developing and maintaining our comprehensive healthcare solutions, including our flagship Barco QAWeb enterprise project and various other innovative healthcare initiatives which are used all over the world. Your expertise in modern web technologies (Angular, Express.js) and cloud infrastructure (AWS) will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions that healthcare professionals rely on. Node.js with JavaScript/TypeScript is our primary development language.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Angular applications and libraries
Build robust backend services using Express.js and integrate with both PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases.
Implement AWS Lambda functions or willingness to learn
Participate in agile development processes using Jira and sprint methodologies.
Contribute to both frontend and backend architecture decisions to balance performance, maintainability, and time-to-market.

We Are Looking For a New Colleague Who

Has at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Has at least 3 years of proven experience in fullstack development.
Has experience with Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
Has experience with Node.js backend development (preferably Express.js).
Has knowledge of working with cloud infrastructure
Has experience with E2E testing frameworks like Playwright.
Has experience with PostgreSQL.
Is comfortable working in agile environments with Jira and sprint-based development.
Can work in a global organization with a high degree of autonomy and collaboration.
Language skills: English (fluent), Dutch is a plus.

Nice To Have

Experience with desktop development frameworks (Tauri/Electron) - Node.js knowledge is the foundation.
Setting up CI/CD using Github actions
Familiarity with Docker.
Experience with Storybook for component documentation and testing.
Experience with DynamoDB and NoSQL databases.
Experience in healthcare related industry/technology.
