Java Software Engineer

12 month contract 500 to 600 per day (Euros)

I am seeking an experienced Java Developer for a one-year contract working for the Dutch Government based in Antwerp. The successful candidate will be joining an established DevOps team working on the development of a on-prem streaming data platform. This platform is based on Apache Kafka and a cloud-based data lake (ADLS).

The project has been commissioned by the Port of Antwerp Burges and the successful candidate will need excellent Dutch speaking and writing skills. This is a hybrid working role with two days per week based on site at the Port of Antwerp.

Skills and experience required

Essential

• Demonstrable experience with REST Api, SFTP, MQTT
• Proven experience with Java 11/17 and following
• Proven experience with JSON, XML
• Demonstrable experience with Kafka, AVRO
• Demonstrable experience with Spring
• Proven Experience in Developing Java Based applications
• Demonstrable training with certification or equivalent through experience in programming languages and environments such as Java/J2EE
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR - level C2.
