Job Description

Context:

• You will join a self-managing scrum data team of SAP BI and MS Azure BI experts, where you will perform the following activities:
• You will create functional analyses/specifications and discuss these with various stakeholders (information analysts, information stewards, key users, etc.).
• Based on the analytical needs, you will develop the data model in the various layers of the platform in accordance with Fluvius BI regulations.
• You will be responsible for the technical implementation within an MS Azure environment (Databricks, PowerBI) from extraction to final report.
• You will follow the standard development cycle within the platform and adhere to the Fluvius ICT Change and Release process.
• You will check the performed work against a test plan and help make the test data available for executing the test cases.
• You will ensure that your work fits within our monitoring and alerting system so that all errors are immediately identified and the agreed service levels can be achieved.
• You will develop and keep up-to-date overarching communication and training materials (in Enterprise Architect, Confluence, and Jira).
• You will be responsible for the lifecycle management and updates/upgrades of existing environments.
• You will assist the data team in resolving technical issues.
• Based on your expertise, you will propose improvements within the Fluvius Data and Information platform.
• You will assist business in using the reporting and analysis tools or provide training.
• You will contribute to the future of Analytics within the Fluvius framework, prepare the client for future innovations, and guide them in the implementation of these changes.

Additionally:

• Given the strong interaction with the business, an excellent command of Dutch (both spoken and written) is essential.
• Based on their expertise, this person must be able to fully integrate into the existing team within two weeks. Self-organization and a strong learning capacity are essential qualities in this regard.

• Demonstrable experience with data vault modelling
• Demonstrable experience with Databricks
• Demonstrable experience with SQL scripts
• Demonstrable experience with star modelling
• Demonstrable experience working in an MS Azure environment
• Certified as a “Databricks Data Engineer Associate
• Demonstrable experience in data analysis
• Demonstrable experience in information modeling (drawing logical data models)
• Demonstrable experience with Power BI as a reporting tool
• Demonstrable experience with Python
