Senior Network Engineer

Senior Netzwerk Engineer (m,w,d) – Routing & Switching/SDN/Huawei/Fortinet 60-80%

Project : For a leading IT company in the public sector, we are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up, optimizing, and operating complex network infrastructures and will work closely with a dynamic team to continuously develop network solutions.

Tasks:

• Planning, implementation and support of complex network infrastructures (VLAN, IP addressing, routing, switching)
• Configuration and operation of firewalls (Fortinet) and switches/access points (Huawei iMaster)
• Monitoring and management of networks including RADIUS, TACACS, monitoring and CMDB
• Carrying out firmware rollouts and error analyses
• Implementation of network virtualization and SDN concepts
• Coordination with partners for installations, WAN connections and acceptance

Requirements:

• Completed degree (HF/FH) or equivalent training in computer science or telematics
• Several years of experience in the implementation and support of large networks
• In-depth knowledge of routing & switching, firewalls, network monitoring and management
• Experience with SDN and network virtualization
• Practical experience with Huawei (iMaster) and Fortinet (Fortimanager) is an advantage
• High level of personal responsibility, independent working style and strong technical understanding

Languages:

• German; Fluent
• English; advantageous
