Role Overview

As a Junior Frontend Developer at Vaimo, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging digital experiences through user-friendly web applications. You will work alongside a talented team of developers and designers, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user interfaces using JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
• Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing and functional web applications.
• Integrate headless CMS solutions like Contentful and Sanity into projects.
• Operate on cloud platforms like Vercel to build, deploy, and scale modern web applications and static sites.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 2 years of commercial experience with web development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with React and Next.js.
• Basic understanding of headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Sanity).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Curiosity to explore how AI can enhance frontend development and digital experiences.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Upper-intermediate English.
• Location - Kyiv or close, to be able to visit office from time to time.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS).
• Understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Ability to effectively use AI-assisted coding and research tools to support development.
  
  

Location & Work Style

This position offers flexibility with remote and hybrid options. While we believe junior developers benefit greatly from in-office collaboration and mentorship, we also understand the importance of work-life balance and do not enforce full-time office attendance. Flexible scheduling options are available.

Please note, we will expect you to be at the office couple of days per week at the beginning.
