QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are currently searching for a Regular QA Automation Engineer to join our team, creating and maintaining high quality software alongside our QA, Dev and Product Management teams.

Key responsibilities

• To understand the product business logic and complexity of changes in order to identify potential impact in the project modules;
• To maintain and improve the automated tests;
• To utilize debugging and investigation skills to diagnose issues in the automation scripts and the application under test;
• To estimate his/her work and be able to prioritize work load in order to increase effectiveness and efficiency;
• To design/ review and execute the use cases/ test cases;
• To communicate on a regular basis with the engineering team (found issues, automation outcomes).
  
  

Job Requirements

Technical Skills

• Test automation frameworks proven experience using the POM (Selenium or similar);
• Medium experience in test automation using java on complex frameworks (or ability to transition from another language);
• Strong debugging and investigation skills, with a keen eye for detail;
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
• Understanding of API - REST services - experience with API testing using Postman;
• Basic knowledge of Database concepts, SQL Server or PL-SQL;
• Good knowledge of bug/test case lifecycle management;
• Problem-solving attributes and quick adaptability to changes in a project;
• Fluency in English.
  
  

Nice to have

• Understanding of Microsoft IIS;
• Knowledge on the following protocols: WMI, SNMP (v1,v2,v3 and OIDs), TCP/IP, SH/ Telnet, POSIX;
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands;
• Agile methodology experience.
  
  

Education & Experience

• 3+ years testing experience;
• Must have practical experience of working in a structured professional software development environment;
• Practical experience of the Test Life Cycle and the different categories of testing, particularly in an Agile SCRUM environment;
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Engineering or Development;
• ISTQB Qualification is a plus.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team;
• Willing and able to be part of international projects and initiatives;
