Enterprise Architect (Retail)

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Enterprise Architect with experience in retail technology environments to define and govern our enterprise architecture strategy. The role focuses on aligning business goals with technology investments, driving digital transformation and ensuring consistency across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Architecture & Roadmap

• Define the enterprise architecture blueprint covering applications, data, technology, and integration.
• Develop and maintain a 3–5 year architecture roadmap, aligned to retail business strategy (e-commerce, supply chain, omnichannel, customer experience).
• Drive the transition from legacy monoliths to cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.

Governance & Standards

• Establish architecture principles, reference models, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve architecture designs from solution/domain architects.

Business Alignment

• Support digital transformation initiatives such as AI-driven personalization, intelligent supply chain and omnichannel commerce.

Technology Leadership

• Provide guidance on strategic platforms: Java ecosystems, Oracle ERP/DB, Azure cloud and AI/ML platforms.
• Define enterprise-wide strategy for microservices adoption, API-first integration and data platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (AI, GenAI, RPA, analytics).

People & Stakeholder Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of solution/domain architects.
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and influence major investment decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of IT experience, including experience in enterprise/solution architecture.
• Proven ability to design enterprise-level architecture strategies in the retail industry (e-commerce, POS, merchandising, ERP, CRM, supply chain).
• Familiarity with Java ecosystems, Oracle enterprise platforms, Azure cloud services and microservices.
• Understanding of AI/ML applications in retail (recommendation systems, demand forecasting, automation).
• Strong leadership and communication skills to influence C-level stakeholders.
