We work on a project basis (in the EU and beyond), to this day we have already implemented over 320 projects and currently, we are working on another 45 projects. WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

Join us on a mission-critical consulting project in the Digital Security domain for a leading enterprise bank in the Nordics. You'll work on modernising and securing their digital platforms by designing and building robust Java-based systems focused on cryptography, identity, and secure microservices. You'll be part of a senior, cross-functional team that puts engineering excellence and trust at the core of everything they build.

This is not just another backend Java job - it's an opportunity to contribute to systems that protect millions of users and billions in assets across the digital economy.

DO YOU HAVE...

🌟 Java (7+ years) - Deep expertise in backend development, ideally in secure or regulated environments

🌟 Spring Framework & Spring Boot (7+ years) - You know how to build microservices with confidence

🌟 REST APIs & Microservices (5+ years) - You design, build, and secure RESTful services that scale

🌟 Source Control Systems - Strong experience with Git (3+ years), and ideally Bitbucket or GitHub

🌟 Build Tools - Daily hands-on with Gradle or Maven

🌟 CI/CD pipelines (5+ years) - Solid DevOps mindset and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines

🌟 Unit & Integration Testing Frameworks - JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers or equivalent - you know testing is not optional

🌟 Containerization & Orchestration - Familiarity with Docker and tools like Kubernetes or OpenShift

🌟 Digital Security Experience - Strong interest or experience in cryptography, secure authentication, and secure data flows

BONUS SKILLS...

While not mandatory, any of these will set you apart:

💎 Experience in the banking or fintech industry

💎 Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), TLS/SSL, and encryption standards

💎 Exposure to Keycloak or similar identity management solutions

💎 Familiarity with OWASP security best practices ( ​Open Worldwide Application Security Project)💎 Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

💎 Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault, HSMs (Hardware Security Modules) or other secrets management systems
