A global financial services leader is building next-generation cloud platforms to support large-scale, mission-critical applications. You’ll join their Cloud & Data Center Services team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining resilient PaaS environments across AWS and multi-cloud providers.

Daily rate €600 per day. Must be based a commutable distance from Dublin. No sponsorship available

About Your New Job

As a Platform Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure to support business-critical applications.
• Partner with engineering, SRE, and security teams to automate deployments, observability, and compliance.
• Champion DevSecOps practices by integrating security controls into the platform lifecycle.
• Contribute to the design of highly available, cloud-native systems.
• Eliminate toil by automating issue triage and operational processes.
• Provide technical mentorship and collaborate across teams to drive best practice adoption.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies, bringing forward recommendations for adoption.

What Skills You Need

• 7+ years’ experience in software, platform, or site reliability engineering.
• Strong expertise in cloud security, networking, IAM, and governance within AWS.
• Proven ability with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for cloud automation.
• Scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, or Shell.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Familiarity with multi-account architectures, landing zones, or control tower setups.
• Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and containerization (Docker).
• Advanced knowledge of networking (DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, Firewalls).
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS native).
• Prior work in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries.
